Best Z790 Motherboard in Existence! I left Asus years ago for the cheaper Gigabyte brand but after struggling with a Z790 Master X board for 2 months and not receiving any help I switched back to Asus with the Apex Encore. I swapped out the boards, set it to XMP tweaked, and it took off running 8...

Great Motherboard I am using a 14th Gen 14900K processor. This is my first complete upgrade in about 15 years. I was using an Asus WS MB still with a firewire port on the board. I am using all fans for cooling and this board was easy to install and replace the processor fan mount. The memory h...

Still Waiting For Asus USB4 PCIe Gen 4 Card Compared to Asus Max Z790 Extreme, I appreciate the additional PCIe X4 slot. Would like to try new Asus USB4 PCIe Gen 4 expansion card in it, BUT five months after announcement said card is still not available in the United States. Why?

Great motherboard except for front panel USB-C Everything on Apex Encore motherboard performs as advertised, except for USB-C front panel header. With i9-13900KS CPU and G.Skill f5-7800C36 RAM installed, the Encore successfully boots into Windows with XMP enabled at 8000 mt/s, and passes all typi...

Fantastic top-end board. No native graphics. Overall, this is a fantastic top-end board. I bought it for the power stages, high-end memory support and dual BIOS capabilities and they work just fine. My only downside: I overlooked the fact that it has no native, built-in video support of the on...

Always an Apex. An amazing high end product! It doesn't fail at whatever I throw at it so I'm impressed. The only thing I don't like about the board is that the ROG logo doesn't have RGB.

Cancer research with ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE My first ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE was purchased at Newegg from a foreign supplier (a mistake on my part). It had a defective memory slot: as of 6/9/2025, it's being repaired by Asus (under warranty). I have high hopes it can be repaired to hea...

Apex Encore Overclocking Beast The Apex Encore is a overclocking beast. The board is very well made and this is my 4th Apex. If your are into overclocking this is the board with the two memory slots for 8000 + MT with ease. The overclocking tools and Asus bios can't be match in my opnion.
