Great Replaced the previous 70 to 200 with this one as it works with the 2X adaptor - lens is lighter and I prefer it to the old one

Compact Zoom Nice update of this lens in small size/weight with semi macro capability and can get full macro with Sony teleconverters. Auto focus works very well as it keeps focus even while zooming on burst mode on a7R5 body. Had to send lens back recently as manual focus ring stopped working whi...

Sony 70-200 f4 The Sony 70-200mm f/4 Macro G OSS II is an incredibly versatile telephoto zoom that blends portability with impressive optical performance. This lens stands out as a lightweight alternative to the heavier f/2.8 options, while still delivering professional-level results.

Filmmaking I bought this lens a month ago. I am very pleased with the image quality, sharpness, and color reproduction. This lens is ideal for commercial use and for clearly capturing what is happening in front of you. Macro photography is simply magnificent with a very short focusing distance. V...

Most Versatile The only zoom lens with macro throughout the zoom range. Makes changing working distances easier in macro mode. Light, easy to carry all day, sharp with beautiful bokeh. Ideal as a portrait zoom and small enough to fit comfortably in a backpack. Great travel lens. I am so pleased wi...

Best travel bud I bought this lens thinking it was a budget option compared to the GM, but I was surprised after using it for a couple of months. It's a great lens! It feels professional and produces excellent photos and videos. I really appreciate that it's compact and travel-friendly.

All in one. Has easily replaced 2 lenses in my bag, the ability to get in close with this lens and get half macro shots is just awesome. Epic build quality and glass you would genuinely think it was a GM lens.

Versatile lens This lens can do everything from telephoto to macro and is lightweight. It is much more compact than the 2.8GM so is a great travel lens too. The images are sharp and AF is good. The only fault I have is the lack of an aperture ring is annoying.

Versatile! This lens offer such versatility in a small and light package that its become a regular in my camera bag. The F4 aperture is more than good enough for amazing quality photos. The autofocus performance is as good as any.
